The Norcross city council earlier this month agreed to hire a retail consulting firm to help develop strategies for bringing new business to the area. The $35,000 one-year contract with r360, LLC, will include a property analysis, retail target list and leasing information. Among the factors studied, the company will look at retail “leakage,” or where and what residents are shopping for outside the city.

Once analysis of the existing market is complete, the company provides various marketing efforts on the city’s behalf. The company is expected to work closely with city staff to recruit individual new retail to Norcross.
