The Norcross City Council recently approved a request from the city’s Public Works, Utilities and Parks Department to solicit bids for Pinnacle Park dredging. The last dredging occurred in 2015.

The proposed dredging will remove silt from the lake and headwall area on the western side. Rip rap will also be installed at the forebay to catch the silt. According to city documents, “this is not only a preventive measure between the forebay and headwall, but one that if not done soon, will result in future damage.” By acting soon, the city hopes to avoid draining the retention pond at this time.
