Break out the champagne glasses, or get those fancy plastic ones, because the new year is almost here.
If you’re still seeking something to do on New Year’s Eve, consider all the happenings at Marietta Square that night.
This is the third year the city has hosted a public mumbling of "Auld Lang Syne."
Below you can get a vibe of what the night will be like.

Traffic and parking:
Stephanie Coston, operations manager for the Square’s holiday celebrations, said she doesn’t expect parking to be a problem because it’ll be a Sunday.
She said the roads around the Square will close at 3 p.m. except West Park Square, which will be open all night.

Midnight drop:
Coston said that, like last year, the city will drop a look-alike of the city's famous Big Chicken at midnight. She said that isn't a long-term decision.
Heading into 2016, the city's first year holding a New Year's celebration, they (safely) dropped a man at midnight. The "#dudedrop," which is how it trended online, confused many.

Wait, I heard something about cows:
You heard right! Buy a mini plush Chick-fil-A cow for $2.99 that will be d ropped onto the NYE target, and the two closest cows will win their owner 52 weeks of free Chick-fil-A.
You will be able to purchase the cows from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at a Chick-fil-A tent.

5 p.m.: Food trucks and activities for children, like face painting
7 p.m.: Chick-fil-A cow drop
5:30 to 7:15 p.m.: Local 24 (acoustic and rock covers)
7:30 to 9 p.m.: The Paul Hand Band (covers of The Beatles to Nirvana)
9:30 p.m to midnight: Hot Rod Walk and The Psycho-Devilles (rockabilly)
10:30 to 11 p.m.: Captain and Maybelle, a circus sideshow act
11:50 p.m.: A fire breather will perform
11:59 p.m.: The countdown to the Big Chicken drop begins
