Road construction partners with the Georgia Department of Transportation will shift traffic onto the new Ga.11/U.S. 129 Longstreet Bridge on Thursday, Jan. 16. Traffic will then begin using the new travel lanes over the Chattahoochee River.

This project was awarded to E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc., headquartered in Snellville, in May 2017. The total contract amount awarded for the project is $34 million. The estimated completion date, which is always weather dependent, is later this year in Sept.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and drive alert through the work zone.
