Teachers in Fayette County will have to spend far less time compiling online instructional materials now that the Board of Education has approved the purchase of a new digital content system.

The board voted unanimously on Jan. 19 to use $87,612 in SPLOST revenue to purchase a subscription to the Safari Montage online repository, which lets teachers search for and select materials that are already aligned with the county’s curriculum.

Board member Diane Basham said the system should result in “tremendous time savings” for teachers, but asked for feedback on its usage.
