Cambridge High School will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Agriscience and Veterinary Education building at 9 a.m. Friday on the school campus, 2845 Bethany Bend, Milton.

The 7000-square-foot facility includes classroom space, an animal science laboratory, a barn and demonstration areas.

Students will take courses in basic agricultural science the first part of the year of the developing program, and in subsequent years will tackle animal science technology, veterinary science courses and biotechnology offerings.

The programs will include both classroom instruction and hands-on experiences with animals, district officials said.
