Milton city officials said changes have been made regarding a road construction project that has stirred concern.
Officials said the $2 million project installing a roundabout on Ga. 372 at Providence and New Providence roads is behind the contractor’s original November completion date. Spokesman Jason Wright said city officials and residents have recently expressed concern with the pace of construction, and with limited visibility of the roadwork at night, particularly during rainy weather.
Following a meeting between city and GDOT officials, a large flashing warning sign has been placed at the site, and the city will issue weekly updates on the project through its website and social media platforms.
Wright said no revised completion date’s been settled on for the work, which is replacing a four-way unsignalized intersection with an awkward dogleg.
