For Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, the hits just seem to keep coming.

On Thursday, the Atlanta Mayor will visit New York City, where he has been invited to ring the closing bell for NASDAQ.

Reed had planned on being in New York anyway for a speech at the Ford Foundation on how cities can continue to be engines of opportunity, creativity and vitality.

Reed will ring the bell from 3:45 p.m. until 4 p.m. In the meantime, excerpts from his inauguration speech will run continuously throughout the day in Times Square. ERNIE SUGGS

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia has successfully launched a new online educational tool to help consumers find retail health clinics and urgent care centers in non-emergency situations when their regular doctors aren't available.

A Google Maps application provides locations of emergency room alternatives -- which are typically less costly -- throughout the state. The program also includes educational materials explaining when it's appropriate to use ER alternatives. Visit www.bcbsga.com for more information. MISTY WILLIAMS
