Chelsea, one of the Sumatran tigers at Zoo Atlanta, is expecting her first litter. The cubs will also be the first for the 7-year-old endangered tiger and her mate, 10-year-old Kavi.
It's been more than a decade since tigers have been born at Zoo Atlanta.

The Center for Health Transformation named David Merritt as its new CEO Wednesday.
The change comes on the heels of the departure of center founder Newt Gingrich to run for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. The think tank advocates for new solutions to improve health care and lower costs.

MARTA has awarded Siemens Industry a $17.2 million contract to build four streetcars, according to the company, for the downtown Atlanta streetcar line scheduled to start service in early 2013.
The city of Atlanta, the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, and the federal government are all funding the $72 million project. The streetcars will be constructed at a Siemens plant in Sacramento, Ca., and will mark Siemens' entry into the U.S. streetcar market, according to the company's statement. ARIEL HART
