Three Metro Atlanta Post Offices are to host “Customer Appreciation Days” from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 31, to show customers their business is appreciated, answer questions and celebrate special T.Rex pictorial postmarks.

The stations are the:

• Atlanta Main Post Office, 3900 Crown Rd., Atlanta, GA 30304.

• Fayetteville Main Post Office, 250 E. Georgia Ave., Fayetteville, GA 30214.

• Lawrenceville Main Post Office, 35 Patterson Rd., Lawrenceville, GA 30044.

The Tyrannosaurus rex pictorial postmarks — created by local kid artists — will be available. The postmarks celebrate the Postal Service’s new T. Rex Forever stamps that went on sale nationwide Aug. 29. News of the stamp is being shared on Twitter with the hashtag #USPSTRexStamps.

The Customer Appreciation Day is open to the public and free for customers.

The postmarks can be obtained via mail order by:

• Affixing postage to an envelope or postcard, addressing the envelope or postcard for mailing and placing the envelope or postcard in a larger cover envelope.

• Sending stamped envelopes and postcards without addresses for cancellation, as long as a larger envelope with adequate postage and a return address are provided for the item to be returned to the requestor.

Address mail-order cancellation requests and T.Rex cancellation requests to the above selected Post Offices. After applying the pictorial cancellation, the selected Postmaster will return the item(s) to the requestor or addressee.
