A design team from the Georgia Tech school of city and regional planning has drawn master plans to re-design the Memorial Drive corridor. The team met with neighborhood residents, community organizations, stakeholders and businesses to develop a comprehensive plan to shape future development along the heavily traveled route.
The plan will direct the city of Atlanta, MARTA, the Georgia Department of Transportation, beltline and the Atlanta Regional Commission on future projects in the corridor.
The community may review the final draft of the re-design 6 - 7:30 p.m. today at the Old Council Chambers at City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave.
There will also be an opportunity to discuss the draft plan with members of the design team after its conclusion.
