According to Business Insider, McDonald's is starting to use a new technique to cut down on the number of wrong orders.

It's pretty simple: Cashiers repeat the order back to the customer three times.

The obvious drawback is that will slightly increase the amount of time the customer spends in the drive-through.

But the company is betting that customers will prefer that over getting the wrong food.

The new method is optional for franchisees, so it's not immediately clear how many will use it.

The way it works is that workers will repeat the order once at the speaker, once at the window where people pay, and one more time at the window where the customer picks up their food.
