A power outage at the Decatur MARTA station has had lights dimmed there through much of the day.
MARTA officials said an electrical connection from Georgia Power somehow disrupted the flow of electricity to the station.
A back-up generator has been running since 7 a.m. Sunday while Georgia Power crews work to repair the outage, MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris said.
Aside from dimmed lighting at the station, where the waiting area for trains is underground, Harris said the back-up is powering entry and exit gates and MARTA pass sales machines so that passengers can purchase and reload Breeze cards.
It is unclear how long it will take for repairs.
