Market Street in Decatur will be closed next week for work on the railroad crossing, according to a news release from DeKalb County government.

Here is the key information:

"Market Street, between Church Street and East Ponce De Leon Avenue, will be closed to through traffic beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 through 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 to replace CSX railroad tracks and cross ties.

"Road closure signs will be posted in the area advising motorists of construction work and traffic restrictions."
