City staff will present a brief overview of the budget. Then residents may comment and ask questions.
The Marietta City Council will consider the budget for approval at 7 p.m. June 10 in the Council Chamber.
This budget, recommended by City Manager Bill Bruton and Finance staff, is a balanced budget and has no service reductions.
The city’s millage rate, which is 2.788 mils, is expected to remain the same.
“The budget is balanced because of revenue the city has received from growth in the local economy, housing and businesses,” Budget Manager Lori Duncan said.
The city’s overall FY 2016 budget is $339.7 million, which includes $52.7 million for the general fund budget.
The undesignated reserve balance is about $15.7 million.
