Marietta’s “Trash Talk” app averages 5-star reviews in both the Google Play Store and the iTunes Store, according to a city statement.

This app allows residents to view changes to the sanitation calendar, schedule pickups for items and access information about what items can be placed in waste bins.

The TrashTalk app allows customers to enter items like “glass” or “paint can” or “motor oil” into the search system to tell them how and where to dispose of these items and to give them directions to that specific facility.

Also, the TrashTalk app has a push notification system that will inform customers if there are any changes in normal service days due to inclement weather.

For free, Marietta residents can still download this app by visiting their App Store via the iOS system or the Google Play Store and search for “Marietta Trash Talk.”

Once the app is downloaded, they will be able to enter their address and receive various levels of notifications, depending upon their needs.
