Marietta officials will offer free Christmas tree pick-up service to their customers on Wednesday.

Residents must have their Christmas trees - free of decorations, lights, stands, tinsel and nails - curbside by 7 a.m. to be picked up.

The city’s Environmental Services Division will pick up trees with residents’ regular Wednesday vegetative waste pickup.

Artificial trees will be picked up on the customer’s last pick-up day of the week with regular household garbage.

Residents also can bring their live trees to Marietta Power and Water complex, 675 North Marietta Parkway, Marietta.

Trees that are picked up will be recycled into mulch that will be available for free to residents, also at the Marietta Power and Water complex.
