A man accused of shooting to death an East Point restaurant manager in 2014 was found guilty of murder and other charges on Wednesday, Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard said.

Yusuf Alkarim shot and killed Riyadh Nuriddin, 36, of Austell, at the Ikhlas Superb Seafood restaurant in the 2700 block of Sylvan Road where both men worked, authorities said.

Alkarim was an employee and Nuriddin, the owner’s son, was the manager. The shooting occurred after business hours during an armed robbery.

Alkarim was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
