The Locust Grove City Council passed three ordinance at its Feb. 11 regular meeting related to the operation and regulation of tattoo/body art studios in the city.

The first ordinance established guidelines as a conditional use in a general commercial zoning district and the second ordinance addressed the rules for operation as a conditional use in a heavy commercial zoning district. Those conditional uses end if the business ceases operation and cannot be transferred to another business at the same location.

The third ordinance specified the limits for how many such businesses can operate in the city based on overall population.
