Lilburn’s proposed FY 2015-2016 budget is available for review 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays at City Hall, 76 Main St. and at www.cityoflilburn.com. The $12,914,318 budget represents a decrease of 3.1 percent from the previous fiscal year.

A public hearing has been set for 6 p.m. May 26 at the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex, 76 Main St. The city council is scheduled to adopt the budget on June 8, before the new fiscal year begins July 1.

The proposed budget funds the addition of body cameras for police officers and a part-time court clerk. SPLOST funding with Gwinnett will pay for the new city hall/library project. SPLOST will also pay for a multi-use trail on Killian Hill Road, sidewalks in the Hillcrest area, and other trail and park enhancements.
