The Lilburn City Council recently approved an agreement with Gwinnett for funding of the Camp Creek Greenway improvements. The county will provide $509,228 in SPLOST funds toward the approximately $900,000 needed to replace the trail’s wooden bridge between Main Street and Lions Club Park.

Lilburn will be responsible for all project management including all applicable design, land acquisition, and construction of the Camp Creek Greenway Trail Bridge Replacement Project. The city is also responsible for ensuring the completion of the project once design and engineering has begun and that construction of the project must be completed no later than December 31, 2022.

The new pre-cast concrete bridge is designed to last at least 50 years and require minimal maintenance. Construction will begin in 2018.
