Forty selected area leaders met together for the first time recently for Leadership Gwinnett’s orientation and reception. The 34th class of the award-winning civic engagement program is comprised of leaders in business, education, government, and nonprofits. Over the next nine months, these individuals will dive deep into the many facets of Gwinnett and build a network of leaders who will address current and future challenges and opportunities facing the community.

Thirty-eight percent of the class are graduates of Glance Gwinnett, Leadership Gwinnett’s newest two-and-a-half-day program designed to give participants a “glance” of their community and ways to plug in for meaningful engagement.

Next up for the class is an opening retreat at Lake Lanier Islands designed to prepare the class for the learning days to follow and to begin building lasting relationships. For a list of the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2019 participants visit www.leadershipgwinnett.com.
