Lawrenceville recently announced a new destination marketing campaign and separate website "microsite" aimed at promoting the city for shopping, dining and special events. "The DTL" will be the new focal point of the campaign and new microsite: www.downtownlawrencevillega.com. The city will also utilize the Instagram handle @The_DTL and #TheDTL.

“We have spent the past several years following the City’s Comprehensive Plan for the growth and development of the City of Lawrenceville,” said Chuck Warbington, City Manager. “Our economic development efforts have been highly successful and we are now ready to shift our marketing efforts to a more destination-driven focus. Exciting things are happening in our City with the completion of the SouthLawn Development, the Lawrenceville Lawn renovations, the addition of Bicentennial Plaza, the College Corridor project, and the new Performing Arts Center, Boutique Hotel and Parking Deck that will soon grace our downtown.”

The microsite will contain updated event information from the city, Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, Lawrenceville Female Seminary, Aurora Theatre, and other business partners. Users will be able to search for shopping, dining and event locations and dates.

Lawrenceville will kick off its official event season with St. Paddy’s on Perry March 14. Event information, updates, and even “pop-up” events will be shared with the public through the microsite.
