Miami—Family friends say a 10-year-old Georgia girl struck by a minivan outside Marlins Park remains hospitalized and unaware that the crash killed three other relatives.

Magdeline Esther Diaz, of Lawrenceville, has been hospitalized in Miami since the van jumped a curb and struck her family as they walked to their car Saturday evening.

Magdeline's grandmother Esther V. Terrero De Diaz, 53; her 14-year-old brother Franklin Abraham Diaz, and a 13-year-old cousin Adriana Maria Diaz, from the Dominican Republic, died after the crash. The van's driver, Raul Herberto Ortega Arias, 67, also died.

Family friends said that Magdeline was in stable condition Tuesday.

Magdeline, her grandmother and her brother lived in Georgia but her family has roots in the Dominican Republic. They were in Miami to visit friends.

Police said it's still not clear what caused Arias to lose control of his vehicle.
