Last year, the Lawrenceville City Council approved a new special event policy and application process for events. The new policy applies to requests for use of the Lawrenceville Lawn, road closures due to rental of the Historic Gwinnett County Courthouse Grounds and pre-approved parade routes, 5K or 10K Run/Walk events.
The application process for events occurring in March through July have already been completed. Applications are being accepted through Feb. 28 for events to be held in August through December. Event organizers will be contacted regarding application status by April 7.
For events occurring in 2016, applications will be accepted May 1 through June 30 of this year with notification of the application status by Aug. 4. Subsequent years will follow the same schedule.
