Lawrenceville City Manager Bob Baroni announced last week his intent to retire from the city after 42 years of service with Gwinnett’s county seat. City officials and staff congratulated Baroni on his retirement and thanked him for his unwavering leadership. The city credits Baroni with yielding the city a fiscally solid position through four decades of economic change and development.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to have served my community all these years and look forward to watching it continue to grow upon the solid foundations that so many have laid over the years,” said Baroni.
Baroni will work with city leaders to transition responsibilities over the course of the coming year with intent to complete the process by February 2017.
