Lawrenceville’s 2030 Master Plan does not allow automotive repair in the Summit Warehouse area of Sugarloaf Parkway. Barry Wood’s window tinting business technically falls within automotive repair as a business category. Fortunately for the owner of Mr. Tint, the Lawrenceville City Council agreed Monday the business deserved a zoning exception.
Mr. Tint, at 2784 Sugarloaf Parkway, is oriented in such a way that visibility to the site is limited and with a few conditions the window tinting shop will have minimal impact to adjacent residential properties. Conditions restrict the business from any other automotive repair services, limit parking for employees and current customers and prohibit storage of vehicles on site. Conditions also prohibit the use of an air compressor and any twirling signage.
