At Lawrenceville’s March 23 city council meeting held by teleconference, the city council voted to award the Nash Street Extension Project to the lowest of nine bidders, Georgia-based Pittman Construction Company.

This project consists of extending Nash Street, widening sidewalks, clearing and grading. The project will also include storm water drainage improvements, a retaining wall, and new landscaping.

Nash Street currently ends half-way between Constitution Boulevard and Gwinnett Drive near the Gwinnett County Division of Family and Children Services office.

The $1,622,837 project is funded by the city’s Capital Outlay Fund.
