Nearly one year, $1.6 million and more than 60,000 cubic yards of silt removal since the project began, the dredging of Peachtree City’s Lake Peachtree is finally complete.

The contractor is removing construction materials and equipment that so that the city can begin restoring the Drake Field park area. The lake will be allowed to refill naturally, but no specific estimate has been given regarding when water levels will permit regular activities such as boating to resume.
