Culinary arts and hospitality education students from 15 high schools around the state will compete Friday in the annual Hospitality Education Foundation of Georgia competition.

Teams of five students work for up to a year to compete in the high speed Top Chef Challenge, and every student competition will receive a scholarship to college. The winners will represent Georgia at the National Restaurant Association’s national competition in April.

The competition runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kennesaw State University.
