Kennesaw’s City Council on Monday will consider a special land use permit for an Islamic Center at 2750 Jiles Road. The council delayed a vote Nov. 17 after residents spoke against the Suffa Dawat Center locating in a shopping center for worship services and religious studies.

Mayor Mark Matthews said religion should not be a part of the debate and the council should look at land use issue for the shopping center space.
