The Kennesaw City Council decided on Nov. 18 to close several roads on Dec. 7 for the Santa Parade, A Day with Santa Event and Tree Lighting.
- Main Street will be closed from Park Drive to Watts Drive from 1:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Also from 1:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., the following roads will be closed at Main Street: Park Drive, Lewis Street, Dallas Street, Whitfield Place, Moon Station Road, J. O. Stephenson Avenue and Watts Drive.
- Watts Drive will be closed just west of the new parking lot entrance at 1:45 p.m. for about 30 minutes.
- Dallas Street will be closed at Watts Drive for approximately the same 30 minutes.
- Main Street will be closed from Summers Street to Watts Drive from noon to 10 p.m.

- 11 a.m. Parade load-in begins
- Noon. Main Street event area closed
- 12:30 p.m. Vendor/sponsor load-in begins
- 1:30 p.m. Parade load-in complete
- 2 p.m. Parade begins
- 2:30 p.m. Vendor/sponsor load-in complete
- 3 p.m. Day with Santa activities begin
- 5:30 p.m. Parade awards
- 5:45 p.m. Pre-lighting of the Tree performance
- 6 p.m. Lighting of the Tree
- 7 p.m. Event ends – vendor/sponsor load-out and breakdown begins
- 10 p.m. Breakdown ends and Main Street opens
