Jonesboro officials remind residents that golf cart registrations are due Feb. 15.

In October, the mayor and city council revised the registration procedures for golf carts operating within the city. A new $25 annual registration fee was adopted for city residents, and a new application was prepared.

Registration decals to be affixed to the sides of golf carts per the new regulation. Golf cart owners must have their registrations complete by Feb. 15.

Golf carts must be demonstrated to be in good working order, including exhaust systems for gas-powered carts. The mayor and council also included a provision in the revised Cart Ordinance for non-city residents to be able to register their own carts for use within the city limits.
