A split Johns Creek City Council has approved a list of transportation projects to be funded if voters approve a tax referendum in November.

Before the 5-2 vote, some council members voiced dissatisfaction over the way the state Legislature pushed through the bill authorizing the five-year, 0.75-cent Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum for Fulton County and its 13 cities other than Atlanta.

If voters approve, Johns Creek is projected to receive at least $81.9 million in TSPLOST revenues. Roughly half that amount would go toward road widenings. State Bridge, Jones Bridge, McGinnis Ferry and Haynes Bridge are among the roads listed in that category.

Improvements to various streets, intersections and bridges also are proposed.

Johns Creek’s list now goes to Fulton County to be combined with those of the county and other Fulton cities.
