"I love my daddy dearly and would do anything in my power to save his life."

Not an unusual sentiment, but this comes from Jason Harris, who wants to be paroled from prison temporarily so he can donate half his liver to his dying father.

The Georgia Department of Corrections says it will take Harris anywhere in Georgia to have the operation, which would remove part of his liver and then transplant it into his father, Paul Harris, in New York. Harris is a perfect match for his dad.

But it's not as simple as taking Harris to a Georgia hospital. And few people have forgotten why Harris is in prison in the first place.
