The Holly Springs City Council has given the green light to hiring Stonecrest Homes GA LLC as project manager of its town center redevelopment.
A management agreement signed by the city, Holly Springs Downtown Development Authority and Stonecrest holds the developer responsible for planning and managing land development, construction and parcel sales. Stonecrest also would oversee the construction of a new city hall.
Initially, Stonecrest will be paid $10,000 a month, starting in October and ending in December, to prepare a feasibility analysis and operating budget. Prior to year’s end, the city is to adopt an approved budget and pay Stonecrest a monthly fee amounting to 5 percent of the total cost under management.
The city describes its proposed town center as a “Live, Work, Play” project offering lofts, townhomes and cottage homes; stores and offices, and a city hall overlooking an event green.
