The Henry County Board of Education voted June 8 to approve a $341 million budget, the largest in its history, for the upcoming fiscal year. It includes a 5 percent pay raise for all employees and the addition of more than 100 new positions. Officials cited an improving local tax digest and increased state funding as reasons the increased budget was feasible. Information: www.henry.k12.ga.us.
