Students in Henry County’s public schools students will not have to make up days missed earlier this month because of inclement weather and neither will teachers.

“Henry County Schools will not require staff or students to make up the days recently missed due to inclement weather,” according to a message posted Jan. 26 on the school board’s Facebook page and also attached to the home page of the district’s website. “Should you have further questions, please contact your school’s administrator.”

Schools were closed Jan. 17-19 because of severe winter weather that affected much of Georgia, including all of metro Atlanta. It was the second weather-related closure of the academic year in Henry County, as Hurricane Irma in September also disrupted the schedule.
