Nearly $8.7 million in road resurfacing projects all over Henry County got the go-ahead from the Board of Commissioners recently.
A total of 15 roads are slated for improvement with 13 of those using cement stabilized base reclamation construction and resurfacing. All are expected to be completed by the end of this year. Twenty-four miles of roadway will be resurfaced with some roads being widened to a 22-foot width. Scheduled for resurfacing are portions of Sandy Ridge Road, Indian Creek Road, Lower Woolsey Road, Simpson Mill Road, Chambers Road, Foster Drive, Airline Road, East Lake Road, Jodeco Road, Peach Drive, Rex Road, Fairview Road, Orchard Road, Panola Road and Flat Rock Road.
