The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its March 6 regular meeting to approved a proposal that will provide equipment for a satellite office of the county’s Building and Plan Review Department. The office will be housed at Fire Station 6 in the Fairview area on the northern end of the county.
The resolution provides for the funding of five laptop computers and accessories to allow county personnel to process permitting and inspection applications more efficiently, according to a staff report. An overall increase in such activity throughout the county along with limited office space for the department were cited as reasons for the action.
All of the necessary items will be funded through the Building and Plan Review Department’s revenue.
