A program in DeKalb County Juvenile Court recently was honored for its innovation by Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

The youth achievement program, which offers educational alternatives such as GED classes and a summer work program, was among 111 programs honored nationwide.

About 300 DeKalb youth participate in the program, which is guided by Judge Desiree Sutton Peagler.
