Gwinnett Commissioners approved an agreement Tuesday to continue to acquire foreclosed single-family homes and rental properties. The properties will be rehabilitated and sold or rented through the county’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

The annual contract was awarded to Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership Inc., Gwinnett Window and Door Inc. and The Macallan Group LLC for $826,762.00, which includes acquisition, rehabilitation and sale or management of properties.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 is funded 72 percent by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and 28 percent by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Through successful negotiations the county saved approximately $22,047 without reduction in the scope of services.
