Gwinnett Commissioners approved a contract Tuesday for $120,231 for the maintenance of Lifepak 15 and Lifepak 12 monitor/defibrillators. This contract allows the Department of Fire and Emergency Services to maintain a standardized fleet of life-saving cardiac monitors and defibrillators which have the potential of decreasing morbidity and mortality of patients experiencing a cardiac event.

The contract includes accessories and repair parts as part of a multi-year contract with Physio Control, Inc. with an initial term running through the end of 2016. This contract may be automatically renewed on an annual basis for a total lifetime contract term of four years for a total base amount of $480,924.
