Steel and concrete support structures are up at Grayson’s “ampavilion” construction site. Bayne Development Group is the contractor responsible for the concert stage being built at Grayson Park, 475 Grayson Parkway.

The structure will be formed by a center stage with open pavilions on each side. Grayson leaders anticipate the side pavilion design will be useful when hosting performing arts events. The pavilion areas will be curtained and will function as “stage left” and “stage right.” Plans for the building also include restrooms, ramps, and a storage area.

The project is being built using Special Local Option Sale Tax funds.

The ampavilion should be complete and ready for use in time for the Grayson Blues and Brews festival Oct. 20. Information: www.cityofgrayson.org.
