Henry County had a graduation rate of 87 percent for the 2018-2019 school year, besting the state's average of 82 percent.
The rate helped the south metro community tie for fourth-highest performance when compared to 10 of the largest school systems in the state.
“We are proud of the hard work of our students as well as our employees in ensuring students reach their goal of graduation,” School Board Chairman Josh Hinton said in a statement.
“While our graduating class enrollment numbers continue to climb and the standards to graduate continue to increase, the Henry County Board of Education is committed to maintaining a high graduation rate and certifying that a Henry County diploma means effective preparation for post-secondary and workforce options,” he said.
The district said four schools had graduation rates of 90 percent or above. They are Ola High School (94 percent), Union Grove High School (93.8 percent), Dutchtown High School (91.2 percent) and Woodland High School (91.9 percent)
