A long-term lane reconfiguration for Glenridge Drive under I-285 in Sandy Springs has been announced as part of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange reconstruction.

The Glenridge underpass will have one southbound lane; one left-turn lane from northbound Glenridge to the westbound I-285 entrance ramp; and two northbound lanes, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Before the change, which took effect Wednesday, March 13, northbound Glenridge had a left-turn lane that also functioned as a through lane.

“The lane modifications will help facilitate bridge construction,” GDOT said. “Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction activities.”

Eventually, Glenridge will have two southbound lanes, two northbound lanes, and two left-turn lanes to westbound I-285. Information: https://bit.ly/2jfU8S7
