Singing groups needed for Caroling On Canton
The winter holidays will soon be here and the city of Roswell is beginning its search for singing groups for the annual Caroling on Canton event.
Singing groups of all sizes, ages and abilities are needed to participate — from civic groups and schools, to religious organizations and local businesses.
Residents and visitors are invited to stroll up and down Canton Street, listening to their favorite holiday tunes while sipping hot chocolate, warming up by the community bonfire and enjoying the seasonal celebrations of local merchants.
When: 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 4

Be a HERO for children in need
The Super HEROes Mentoring Program, a community-based, one-on-one mentoring program serving children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, is seeking volunteers. The program provides children with the opportunity to have a positive role model through a mentor and to strengthen their life skills, self-esteem and academic performance.
A Super HERO Mentor spends one-on-one quality time with the child at least twice a month, two hours each time, participates with the child in a monthly group activity organized and sponsored by H.E.R.O. and contributes to strengthening the child’s self-esteem and life skills.
Eligibile candidates must be at least 22 years of age, have a driver’s license and dependable transportation and pass a criminal background check.
When: ongoing
Where: The main office is located in Atlanta however, clientele reside throughout the metro-Atlanta including Rockdale, DeKalb, Cobb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties.
