Help with vision and hearing services
Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation is the only statewide provider of vision and hearing services. The organization needs volunteers to meet the demand for eyeglasses requests for mission trips. Help is needed to get the eyeglasses ready. Volunteer opportunities in the Recycling Center include, but are not limited to: washing and sorting eyeglasses and reading eyeglass prescriptions.

DeKalb CASA hosts volunteer information meeting
DeKalb County Court Appointed Special Advocate, a non-profit organization that recruits, screens, and trains community volunteers who are appointed by a juvenile court judge to advocate for the best interest of an abused or neglected child placed in foster care, will host a volunteer information meeting.
DeKalb County CASA volunteers work with the DeKalb County Juvenile Court and Division of Family and Children Services to ensure that all the necessary information is collected and presented to the court allowing the judge to make the best decision possible regarding placement of the child.
