A funeral was held Thursday for the Johns Creek family killed in an apparent murder-suicide in their apartment.
The funeral took place in Stone Mountain for Sindiver Grover, 52, his wife, Damanjit Kaur-Grover, 47, and their sons Sartaj Grover, 12, and Gurtej Grover, 5.
“The family is holding on,” said Manohar Fingh, who knew the family through attending the same Sikh Temple. “It went peacefully.”
The Grover family was found dead Monday. Autopsy reports indicate the two boys were stabbed or cut, the mother suffered a fatal blow to the head, and the father hanged himself.
There were about 300 people at the funeral, said Parvinder Singh, who also went to the same temple as the family.
“The parents of the father came in from India to see the burial of their son,” Singh said.
A memorial service was held Thursday night at the Guru Nanak Mission Society of Atlanta in Norcross.
“The family is a trying to deal with it the best they can,” Singh said.
