State Bridge Road between East Morton and Kimball Bridge roads and certain side streets in Johns Creek will be progressively closed 8 a.m. to noon Saturday morning for the city’s 10th annual Founders Day Parade. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from State Bridge Park and proceeds north to Ocee Elementary School.

Beginning at 8 a.m., State Bridge will be blocked between East Morton Road/Twingate Drive on the south to West Morton Road on the north (Morton is a horseshoe-shaped street that crosses State Bridge twice). Motorists can use Morton as a detour around the closed segment. Traffic from Twingate will be allowed to enter and exit State Bridge in the direction of Medlock Bridge Road.

State Bridge north of West Morton will stay open until 9:15 a.m. when State Bridge from West Morton to Jones Bridge roads will be closed; Jones Bridge, a cross street, will remain open until about 10 a.m. After 10 a.m., all of State Bridge from East Morton to Kimball Bridge roads will be blocked. The roadblocks should be lifted by about noon.
